Ten hydel power projects are under construction in MP

BHOPAL: The Deputy Chief Minister Subhash Yadav, in a written reply to a question of Dr Sitasharan Sharma, BJP said that a total of 10 hydel power projects are under construction in Madhya Pradesh. The total capacity of the projects is 2493 mw.

Yadav informed that the projects under construction include Ban Sagar project, capacity 425 mw, Madhikhera, 60 mw, Rajghat project, 13 mw, Indira Sagar project, 1000 mw, Omkareshwar project, 520 mw, Maheshwar project, 400 mw, Radhopur project 20 mw, Rosra project, 35 mw and Shigarpur Vasania project has the capacity of 60 mw.

While replying to another question of Kailash Vijaywargiya, BJP, he said that in ninth five-year plan, allocation of Rs 2079.02 crore was made for undivided Madhya Pradesh. For Chhattisgarh, provision of Rs 675.27 crore was made while for rest of the Madhya Pradesh, provision of Rs 1403.75 crore was made. The planning provision for Madhya Pradesh has allocation of Rs 492.50 crore for large and medium projects, 457.07 crore for minor projects and Rs 4.18 crore provision has been made for flood control.

In reply to a question of Dr Sharma, the minister of state for Animal Husbandry, Shivnarayan Meena said that for the protection and conservation of bovines, the Government has taken many steps.
