Narmada water
VADODARA: Vadodara Municipal Corporataion (VMC) has been assured to provide 3.5 crore gallon water from the Narmada Canal by Narmada Development Minister Jaynarayan Vyas on Tuesday. A delegation led by Vadodara Mayor Bharati Vyas had met him at Gandhinagar on the day.

The MGM School, Vadodara has won both the junior and senior inter-school science quiz competition held at the C.C. Mehta Auditorium on Tuesday. In the senior category 19 schools participated for the Mar Gregorios Rolling Trophy while student from 15 schools contested for the IPCL trophy in the junior category. Bright School and Tejas Vidyalaya bagged runners up prizes in senior and junior categories respectively.

Blood donation
Jamnabai Hospital and the SSG Hospital have organised blood donation camps on December 15 as part of the Sardar Nirvan Diwas celebrations. Those who desired to donate blood may get their names registered with the district health department officials in advance. The camps will start at 9:30 a.m on December 15th and shall go on till 5:00 p.m.

Woman duped
In a complaint lodged with the Satellite police station on Tuesday, a resident of Shatrunjay Towers Rita Shah said two unidentified people duped her ornaments worth Rs 26,000. They posed as ornament cleaners and approached her for cleaning her ornaments. A deal was struck and Rita handed over her ornaments to the two.
